This week we have had a lot of fun testing out the new Lift & Load Warehouse Set by BRIO which has been put to the test by my Little Tots aged 11 months – 8 years old. We already have a huge box of Brio but its mostly just track so the Little Tots were thrilled to be able to something more exciting to our set with this Lift & Load Warehouse.
What’s in the set
The Lift & Load Warehouse Set contains the following which adds to any other Brio
- 1 character
- Forklift magnetic truck
- 2 mini trains
- Track (including bridges and curved track)
- Instructions to build it 4 different ways
The instructions that came with the set showed us 4 different ways we could build it but, of course, the beauty of Brio is it can be built however little hands chose and easily fits on the rest of our Brio.
This was the first time we’ve owned a character so it was a lovely addition to our play to have someone to drive the train and definitely enriched the imaginative play for my Little Tots.
The forklift truck that the character drives was also a fun addition as it has a magnet on it which allows the little removable block from the train to be attached to it and transported around.
What we loved
The warehouse was obviously the highlight for the all the Little Tots to play with. They spent hours lifting the trains up and down using the pulley system. There is a removable block that sits on top of the trains and fits down the chute at the top, coming out at the bottom which also led to seeing what
We loved that there are multiple different ways to build this set. The favourite set up of the 4 by far was the one below that was high up, crossed underneath the track and Jack loved lifting up the train from the bottom of the lift and letting it ride all the way back down to the bottom of the track around the bends.
What we’re not keen on
The only small criticism we have of this set is attaching the track to the bridges, they didn’t seem quite long enough which meant the track didn’t sit well and occasionally fell off but with gentle play, this wasn’t a major problem.
The Brio Lift & Load Warehouse set is available directly from the Brio website and as an RRP of £89.99.
I’m such a huge fan of brio and we’ve had ours for, which was originally second hand from a car boot, for years and it’s still as good as new so I feel this is excellent value for money.
Brio is one of the most used resources that I have and one that is nearly always constantly out. It’s enjoyed by all ages in different ways and is one of the best lasting toys I have. We haven’t had a broken piece yet!
