It’s rained non-stop today so we enjoyed a morning inside making these Sharpie Mug Plant Pots for Mother’s Day which is this Sunday here in the U.K.

These were really cheap to make and look beautiful and a perfect gift for toddlers to make for any occasion not just as a Mother’s Day gift.

You will need:

  • White mugs or cups (Mine were 50p each from Wilkinsons)
  • Sharpies
  • Potted flowers (Also from Wilkinsons were these Violas £2 for 6)

I picked out the colours of the sharpies beforehand to prevent them just using blacks and browns. I chose pastel shades and set them out with the mugs.

They were pretty confused about being allowed to draw on a mug to start off with but soon got into it and really enjoyed decorating them both inside and out.

I left them to completley design their own apart from writing their names underneath and “Happy Mother’s Day 2017” on the handle.

We also finished them off with some Mother’s Day cards and chocolates ready to take home at the end of the week. I hope they’re appreciated.
