We had another go at the #GetYourCraftOn challenge again this afternoon with this months theme being buttons. Check out all the button posts on the Kids Chaos link up. We didn’t have a set idea of what we were going to make with our buttons so instead I set out some materials for Georgia (3 years old) to see what she would come up with.

I love how these simple button bookmarks have turned out and we plan to make some more again tomorrow.

Georgia asked what we were going to make and I told her it was up to her to decide. I thought she might try and make some flowers on the sheet of card that I laid out but she straight away started decorating the craft sticks. I think she probably got the idea from these flowers we made for Mother’s Day cards last month.

She created 3 flowers in total and when I asked her what we could use them for I just got a “dunno”. I suggested they would make lovely bookmarks that could be gifts for people or we could make some more and put them in a small glass vase for decoration.

She decided on the bookmark option and we have wrapped them up ready to post out to relatives as a beautiful homemade gift.

Check out our #GetYourCraftOn challenge entry for April which was this Blossom Tree craft.
